Three days ago, the first pictures of the latest generation Audi R8 tertiris on the website a few hours before his official debut. Today, in fact, the same thing happened with the image of Mercedes-AMG GT3, thanks to a French website Le Point.

What is surprising is that even if the vehicle is designed as a purely mechanical track, Mercedes is to inject some serious styling GT3. Raise its upright grille, round face 300SL race car. In terms of profile, the styling of the AMG GT (street release) maintained but with the addition of truck-style body kit wraps around the entire body and large rear wing mounted to increase the "down force"

Along with the photographs of this tertiris, Le Point claimed that the GT3 is not installed engine 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 as on the standard AMG GT, but paired naturally aspirated 6.3 liter engine V8 derived from the SLS AMG GT3. Aluminum platform also taken from the standard GT, but according to media reports, nearly every exterior panel is replaced with carbon fiber to reduce weight. These race cars are still assembled suspension system "double-wishbone" on all four wheels.

While details are still unconfirmed, it is definitely Mercedes has a beautiful track machine in the making. In any case, Mercedes-AMG GT3 will be in Geneva later.
