Porsche Cayenne arraignment will come faster than Bently Bentayga

Both Bentley and Porsche is a luxury brand under the same umbrella, and probably will work together to develop new models will come. Although they tend to take a different approach and focus to different customers, it does not mean they can not compete with each other. Eager to compete in the Volkswagen Group looks quite significantly in the luxury crossover segment will come.

Bentley's CEO, Wolfgang Durheimer promises that will come will Bentayga (W12-engined with the strongest specifications) will be the fastest SUV in the market. But in conversation with Car and Driver, Wolfgang Hatz who holds the position of Chief R & D Porsche (Durheimer held previously) said that the Bentley SUV will not be champion for a long time.

The new Porsche Cayenne Turbo S has launched a new in Detroit, hyped as the first SUV to break the record of eight minutes at the Nürburgring. And Hatz said that the next version will be faster. "Our Cayenne often very very fast. It can run as fast as 300 km / h [186 mph]. For me, the Bently [Durheimer] can do 2 to 3 km / h more, why not? He did it with a 12-cylinder engine. Our car will be faster on the road. "

Cayenne is scheduled to use a new generation of engines, and by Hatz, will get the weight loss benefits of the same (if not more) with the new Audi S7 in which it will share the same platform. Hmm ... sounds like a combination of the greatest engineering achievements SUV! Porsche promised he would not strengthen its vehicle line with any new model. For them, the Cayenne and the Tigers are already enough.

Bentley Bentayga SUV will be in a variant of plug-in hybrid and diesel in 2017

Bentayga Bentley SUV will add a variant plug-in hybrid and diesel variants in 2017, a year after the W12 model was launched to the world.

Hybrid variant will be able to travel about 31 miles in electric mode. It will have a V6 or V8 petrol engine to continue the journey, although a final decision has not been made to the engine which will be used later, said Chief Executive Officer Wolfgang Durheimer. Diesel engine, V8, will be the first diesel engine in a Bentley.

The company confirmed the "Bentayga" as the name of the new SUV at the Detroit Auto Show. According to Autoblog, Durheimer said British luxury maker has high ambitions for the next model. They expect to sell 3,500 units of the SUV in the world in 2016, which will increase the company's total sales to around 15,000 units. About a quarter of total sales Bentayga is expected to come from US customers.

Bentley can not take orders because the vehicle is not formally evaluated yet, but it already has a list of 4,000 customers who are interested in buying an SUV, and has largely put down a deposit.

"Our customers love with this idea," said Durheimer. "We see an SUV as part of a growing market worldwide."

Bentayga has changed since the concept is removed (called EXP 9 F), exhibited at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, where such a form before it has been modified to look more like a model production Bentley. However, parts of the interior is almost identical to the original concept.

When a Bentley flew in

MUNICH: Bentley's new 4.0 litre V8 Continental GT coupe made a dramatic entrance into Germany with a flying debut above downtown Munich.

The bright red Bentley was seen by Munich residents taking a dramatic short-cut, suspended beneath a helicopter, to beat the traffic jams and arrive at a podium at the top of a high rise complex close to Munich’s city centre on Friday.

The fashionable SkyLounge – positioned in a glazed bridge between two skyscrapers – was the venue for an exclusive Bentley Continental V8 launch party for 300 VIP guests.

Klaus Becker, General Manager of Bentley Munich, who organised the show-stopping helicopter lift said: “A dramatic car got the debut we felt it deserved and we took a little bit of our inspiration from Bentley’s iconic ‘Winged B’ emblem. On a practical level the helicopter was the fastest way to get to the rooftop podium.”
