The latest Ford Focus RS: More than 316HP & 4WD System

The anticipation of the latest Ford Focus RS has ended. Ford finally reveal the hot hatch model that awaited this before making the emergence of primacy at the Geneva Motor Show. Focus RS model comes with more than 316HP and drive system all-wheel-drive.

With the pressure resulting from the hot hatch category competitors like Audi RS3 and Mercedes A45 AMG, Ford Performance division system using four-wheel-drive tools to produce optimum grip. The new Focus RS was developed with an emphasis on performance improvement and also the involvement of the driver of the car.

The latest innovation for the Focus RS is the use of a dual-clutch system, four-wheel drive. Basically, it allows up to 70% of the power delivered to the rear wheels and power up to 100% can also be sent to the individual tires.

"In this way, you can feel great steering response but will be out of turn with agile - and we can use the vector torque to ensure safe and stable car through the diversion."

The second biggest innovation in Focus RS model is lighter transmission. The system adds only 20kg to the top of the car - the same heavy burden on RevoKnuckle suspension system used on the RS generation before. However, with Dynamic Torque Vectoring system, Ford's latest, RevoKnuckle system is considered excessive.

Focus RS uses the same engine 2.3 Ecoboost Mustang used by model. But different from the US model muscle car, hot hatch model uses twin-scroll turbo larger for better air flow and also comes with a larger intercooler. Reliable dual-exhaust system used will produce sound fierce and explosive sound like a high-powered cars are on the road now.

The new models are expected to be sold worldwide beginning early next year.
