Nissan Z will be offered in a hybrid turbocharged variant

Corporate vice president of Nissan gives little indication that the 370Z replacement will be offered with several engine options, and there is a report showing one of them is a four-cylinder hybrid engine.

According to the Best Car Magazine, the new generation model will be launched starting with a convertible version that comes eco-friendly engine.

Complete information is still limited, but sources say the model will use a 2.0-liter engine turbocharged four-cylinder engine from Mercedes. There is an electric motor positioned between the engine and seven-speed automatic transmission. This arrangement allows the car is said to produce 247 horsepower and 359Nm of torque. This makes it less power compared with the existing model but 370Z makes this model more economical in fuel consumption.

Hybrid variant is designed to meet the needs of customers in Europe and Japan, as well as American customers will receive a higher-performance variant that will use Mercedes 3.0 liter V6 engine.
