Google developed Android Auto, Android Intended for cars

The automotive world is now moving rapidly towards the next generation infotainment system. We already know that CarPlay of Apple and three of the Ford Sync in the making. So that Microsoft itself has something in silence. Google has Android Auto show concept earlier this year and promised that it will be available by the end of 2014. It seems that it would not be possible to see in 2014, how many days left to live is not it? But this technology giant has put a tentative plan for the challenger.

According to two unnamed sources told Reuters, the latest Android Auto is now set to debut in time for another year to coincide with the launch of the latest Google Android OS M. Just like CarPlay, he was able to replicate the smartphone user interface directly on the dashboard, but with the assumption that they can bring further integration with the vehicle. Assuming the car makers allow this to happen, Android Auto can interact with diagnostic information model, including things like the fuel gauge, reverse camera, navigation and other sensor. Unlike the current version, it also does not require any android phone is connected to the system to enable the technical work of this work.

One of the above sources told Reuters that Google may use some of the data collected for advertising. "You can gain access to GPS location, where you stop, you travel every day, your speed, fuel level you are, and where you stop for refueling," the source said.

In the announcement of Android Auto in June last year, Google said, Ford, General Motors, FCA, Honda, Hyundai, Nissan and Volkswagen are all potential partners, but proper integration is still not discussed. What, Hyundai already bombard the market with the intention to show that 7-inch infotainment system new in 2015 Cusumer Electronics Show, which is capable of supporting both CarPlay and Android Auto.
